Dansehallerne is Denmark’s national centre for dance and choreography, headquartered in Copenhagen. Dansehallerne works to strengthen dance as an art form and to make it more visible and present for audiences – locally, nationally, and internationally.

At Dansehallerne, you can experience both major international works and new Danish productions that explore what choreography and performing arts can be today. Dansehallerne presents and co-produces performances and creates talks, events, and workshops that open up the art form and offer audiences multiple ways to engage – whether you’re a curious first-time visitor or someone who follows the scene closely.

At the same time, Dansehallerne is a workplace for artists and professionals, where training, development, and knowledge-sharing are part of everyday life. Through partnerships in Denmark and abroad, Dansehallerne supports artists at every stage of their work and contributes to a strong and sustainable ecosystem for dance and choreography.

Since August 2024, Dansehallerne has been based in a striking, converted boiler house in Carlsberg Byen – built for movement, closeness, and powerful live experiences. The building is intended as an open meeting place where audiences, artists, and guests can come together in a diverse environment, and where dance can be experienced as a vibrant and relevant art form.
