What is a biennale?
A biennale is a recurring festival held every two years. yes – dance biennale will therefore take place in 2026, 2028, 2030, and so on.
Where does yes take place?
yes takes place across Copenhagen, at multiple stages and venues, in studios, and in the city’s public spaces. Specific venues and locations will be announced on an ongoing basis as the programme is released.
Who is behind yes?
yes – dance biennale 2026 is created through a new and unique collaboration between Dansehallerne, København Danser, Sydhavn Teater, and Dansk Danseteater, who together develop the biennale’s format and programme.
When does yes take place?
yes – dance biennale 2026 will take place for the first time from 26 August to 28 September 2026. yes is held every two years and will grow over time with more partners and collaborators.
