Since its first guest performance in 2020, København Danser has presented more than 14 different productions in Denmark. The repertoire ranges from some of the world's most prominent companies and choreographers to groundbreaking works that are often shown in Denmark for the first time. The performances are staged around Copenhagen's leading stages and present ambitious and relevant dance at the intersection of the classical and the experimental.

It is a fundamental philosophy at København Danser that you do not need to be an expert in dance to experience it at a world-class level; on the contrary, the stronger a performance, the more impact it has - and the wider it hits.

Each season is organized with a focus on both artistic excellence and societal relevance, with the ambition to inspire and challenge the creative environment in Denmark. Through performances and related activities, København Danser contributes to strengthening dance's position — both nationally and internationally.

In October 2025, København Danser also opened the doors of a large dance house on Østerbro, Copenhagen Danser Studios. It offers a wide range of drop-in teaching at all levels and in many different genres, and the place also forms the setting for an already lucrative Residency Center as well as offices that house actors in the dance field. Studios operates as an independent unit under Copenhagen Danser, but with the very same spirit and ambition: to make dance and movement more accessible to many more people.

Whether on stage, in the studio - or even out in the streetscape - the conviction is the same: World class thrives at eye level.
